- Salesman Sales Analysis -
  1. Sales Analysis in the Salesman Module on the Switchboard.

    1. From the Switchboard, click on the Salesman button.

    2. From the drop down window, select the desired salesman.

      1. Salesmen can be selected individually, or all salesmen can be selected.

    3. Select either Company Sales, for sales analysis of individual companies, or Total Sales for sales analysis of all of the salesman's customers.

      1. Company Sales:

        1. Click on the Company Sales Tab.

        2. Enter the password for sales. (See Passwords, Page 7)

        3. The sales chart will be displayed.

        4. By using the drop down Find Company window, the user can select the desired company from a list of all companies with sales figures for the selected salesman.

        5. The proper Territory and Salesperson for the selected company will also be displayed.

      2. Total Sales:

        1. Click on the Total Sales Tab.

        2. Enter the password for sales. (See Passwords)

        3. The sales chart will be displayed.

        4. The sales chart will contain data for the salesman selected.

    4. The sales chart.

      1. The sales chart will contain the following information

        1. Product Lines for which sales have been entered.

        2. Current Month Sales Information. (Highlighted in light blue)

          1. Current Months sales by line, for the current year

          2. Current Months sales by line, for the previous year

          3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

          4. Budget numbers for the current month by line.

          5. Percentage of budget for the current month.

        3. Year to Date Sales information. (Highlighted in white)

          1. Total of current year to date sales, by line

          2. Total of previous year to date sales, by line

          3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

          4. Total of budget numbers for the current year to date, by line.

          5. Percentage of budget for the current year to date, by line.

        4. Totals for all lines for the current month, and year to date.

        5. A snapshot, by month, of the total sales, for all lines, for all year's with sales information.

      2. The sales data can be changed by selecting various options from the drop down menus at the top of the sales chart screen.

        1. Current Year

          1. Allows the user to determine the year for which sales data will be displayed.

        2. Current Month

          1. Allows the user to determine the month for which sales data will be displayed.

        3. "Switch to 3 Year" button

          1. Displays a three year, by month, sales chart for each product line.

          2. Displays for the currently selected year, the previous year, and the upcoming year.

          3. This sales chart also displays entries for budgeted amounts for the same years.

            1. Entering data into each month of the chart under the budget heading will enter the data into the record for the selected company.

            2. Budgeting can be used in conjunction with base commission percentages to determine budgeted income levels for future years. (See Forecasting and Budgeting)

            3. To select a new product line to budget, use the "Previous Record" and "Next Record" buttons.

          4. To return to the monthly view, click on the "Switch to Monthly Comparison" button.

          5. To print a 3 year report, click on the "Print Company 3 Year Report" button.

            1. This report will include the following information for the selected company, by month, by product line.

              1. Previous year's sales

              2. Previous year's budget.

              3. Currently selected year's sales.

              4. Currently selected year's budget.

              5. Upcoming year's sales

              6. Upcoming year's budget

        4. "Commission" Button

          1. Password protected (See Passwords)

          2. Displays commission data, in the sales chart instead of sales data.

          3. Includes the following information:

            1. Product Lines the company has commission for.

            2. Current Month commission Information. (Highlighted in light blue)

              1. Current Months commission by line, for the current year

              2. Current Months commission by line, for the previous year

              3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

              4. Budget numbers for the current month by line.

              5. Percentage of budget for the current month.

            3. Year to Date commission information. (Highlighted in white)

              1. Total of current year to date commission, by line

              2. Total of previous year to date commission, by line

              3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

              4. Total of budget numbers for the current year to date, by line.

              5. Percentage of budget for the current year to date, by line.

            4. YTD Commission Percentage. (Highlighted in yellow)

              1. Current year's commission percentage, by line.

              2. Previous year's commission percentage, by line

              3. Percentage change in commission percentage between the currently selected year and the previous year, by line.

              4. Current year's commission percentage, for all lines.

              5. Previous year's commission percentage, for all lines.

              6. Percentage change in commission percentage between the currently selected year and the previous year, for all lines.

            5. Totals for all lines for the current month, year to date, and commission percentage.

            6. A snapshot, by month, of the total sales, for all lines, for all year's with sales information.

        5. "History Print" Button

          1. This allows the user to print a sales or commission report for the selected company.

            1. To print a Sales Report, ensure that you are viewing Sales data by clicking on the "Sales" button

            2. To print a Commission report, ensure that you are viewing Commission data by clicking on the "Commission" button.

          2. The report contains the following information

            1. Company Name

            2. Assigned Territory

            3. Assigned Salesperson

            4. Product Lines with sales data

            5. Current month sales data

              1. Current year's monthly sales.

              2. Previous year's monthly sales.

              3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

              4. Current year's monthly budget amounts.

              5. Percentage of monthly sales versus budgeted amount.

              6. Totals for the current month.

            6. Current year's, YTD sales data

              1. Current year's YTD sales

              2. Previous year's YTD sales

              3. Percentage change from previous year to current year.

              4. Current year's YTD budget amounts.

              5. Percentage of YTD sales versus budgeted amounts.

              6. Totals for the current YTD.

            7. A month by month snapshot and total of sales for all year's with sales data.

        6. "Graph" button (Only Available on Company Sales Tab)

          1. Allows the user to display in line bar graph, the sales, commission, and budget year to date figures for either sales or commission data.

            1. To view a Sales Graph, ensure that you are viewing Sales data by clicking on the "Sales" button

            2. To view a Commission Graph, ensure that you are viewing Commission data by clicking on the "Commission" button.

              1. If viewing Commission data, Budget figures are only displayed if the base commission percentage for the selected product line is entered in the Product Line Module. (See Product Line Setup)

          2. Individual Product Lines may be added or removed from the Graph as desired.

            1. Click on the "Abbrev" button to display the list of available product lines.

            2. Select the desired product lines to be displayed by checking the box next to the product line abbreviation.

              1. To display all lines, check the box next to "All"

            3. Once all desired lines are selected, click "OK"

            4. The graph will re-format based upon the selected product lines.

          3. To return to the Sales Table, click on the "Form" button.
