- Prior Approval Letters -

Creating Prior Approval Letters:

  1. Prior Approval Letters are only generated for items that were imported to the quote through the Cross Reference Module.

  2. Prior Approval Letter generation.
    1. Select the desired Quote to generate the Prior Approval Letter for.
      1. Click on the “Find Quote” button
      2. Select the desired quote by entering the information in the type searchable find window.
      3. Press enter to select and display the quote.
    2. Click on the “Print/Fax Quotes” button. (Or use the keyboard shortcut of Alt-`)
    3. Choose “Prior Approval” from the pop-up menu list.
    4. The InDepthRep Program will automatically open Microsoft Word® and generate the Prior Approval letter(s) for you. The program will generate a different letter for each manufacturer that has items needing Prior Approval.
    5. Review the generated Prior Approval letter and edit as desired.
    6. These letters can be printed or e-mailed as desired
      1. To print, use the following steps.
        1. Click on “File” in the header bar, and then select “Print” from the pop-up menu. (Or use the keyboard shortcut “Control-P”)
        2. Select the printer from the list you wish to print to.
        3. Click the “Okay” button.
      2. To E-mail, use the following steps.
        1. Click on “File” in the header bar, then select “Send to” from the pop-up menu, then select “Mail recipient (as Attachment)”
        2. Enter the e-mail address of the recipient and click on the “Send” button.
        3. The Prior Approval Letter will be sent to the specified recipients.
